South Lakes Wild Animal Park

South Lakes Wild Animal Park is about an hour's drive from the resort, but a worthwhile family day out.

Animals from all over the world can be seen here, from Lions, Giraffes, Hippos, to Meercats, Fruit bats, Kangaroos and Emus, to name but a few. Animal feeding times go on throughout the day, from hand feeding the giraffes to apes, lemurs and penguins.

The attraction has a restaurant offering freshly made sandwiches, baguettes and rolls to Jacket Potatoes and burgers.

Trains run every day Easter to end of October.

A great new outdoor and indoor picnic areas amongst the animals for you to enjoy your lunch. Over 500 seats available for sit down meals.
